I added traffic control using the commandline shown below, which should limit outbound network traffic on barwen.ch to 11kbps (welcome to the land of modem) This is because some users on barwen.ch were going way over whats acceptable and it costs me actual money for over-usage. I’m looking at better ways of dealing with this on a per user basis, without penalising all users just because one user’s programs hit the rate limit. I’d also like to allow more burstiness – I really don’t mind if you transmit data at a megabit. Just only for a few seconds.
